In my latest perusal of Sean Price’s discography I stumbled across this gem “Choose to loose, I choose to win, one hand hit the rib the other bruise the chin.” I could only make one deduction. Sean Price is a sartrian.
So I am not really the type to proselytize on a blog or spout some misguiding message about the world that I might have. What I can offer is a sort of bizarre world view that while might be funny to those on the outside, I would not recommend to anyone else. But mostly I just am going to share Whatever I feel like. This blog was started by Brent Rydin and I feel it is a sort of shame that he is unable to do it anymore. So instead I am just going to occasionally post about music, maybe comment on the world, who knows. I don’t like the idea of preaching from the blogular pulpit, so shit will be quick and dirty.
And uh… Here is your song of the day. Its like fucking 30 degrees outside here. Enjoy yaself.
So I don’t really know what to do with this blog, as I was merely following Brent’s lead. I suppose I should send Brent off with a proper farewell. Far be it from my ability to properly do this; I will leave Brent a quote from one of my favorite philosopher’s, Jean Paul Sartre as he moves on to his next adventure:
“One always dies too soon or too late. And yet, life is there, finished: the line is drawn, and it must all be added up. You are nothing other than your life.”
-Jean Paul Sartre.
Dear Friends,
I’m handing the reins of this blog over. Consider this a new leaf and a blank slate and a fresh start. I’ll still be writing, but I feel like a blog that was meant to be a very communal thing isn’t the place for it. I’d rather give this up than turn it into something that it’s not. My writing (including the stuff that was here) will be over here.
It’s been brief, but it’s been fun. I’m leaving the blog in good hands.
Brent
